SPR would like to thank everyone who provided feedback related to their experiences and opportunities at Dr. Blanche Lavizzo Park.

We are providing a summary of the feedback we heard along with some preferred potential uses in the ‘November 2025 Feedback’ document linked here.

We would like to present recommended actions based on the feedback we heard on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 6 p.m. at Garfield Community Center (2323 E. Cherry St., Seattle, WA 98122). Please join us to discuss options for activation, review preferred uses, partnerships, and potential next steps.

This community-centered initiative invites residents, businesses, and organizations in the Central District to come together to enhance the safety, vitality, and inclusivity at this neighborhood park. This activation strategy seeks to address ongoing challenges such as safety concerns, accessibility barriers, and park misuse by fostering open dialogue and transparent partnerships.
