Spring 2026

Updated June 9, 2026

Seattle Parks and Recreation is working on plans to repair portions of the bike and pedestrian trail surface near restroom building, as well as an expanded concrete pad and retaining wall near picnic shelter for temporary skate features.

These physical improvements will help with pedestrian circulation and safety and encourage additional activation of the park space.

Project Description

This community-centered initiative invites residents, businesses, and organizations in the Central District to come together to enhance the safety, vitality, and inclusivity at this neighborhood park. This effort seeks to address challenges such as safety concerns, barriers to recreational use, and park maintenance by fostering collaboration and new opportunities for park users to enjoy these spaces.
