Fall 2025
Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) launched a disc golf pilot program at Jackson Park Golf Course that will run from October 5, 2025, to April 30, 202. The pilot is in partnership with Premier Golf, Mineral Springs Disc Golf Association (MSDGA), and Northwest Disc Golf Association (NWDGA). The disc golf course is located on Jackson Park’s nine-hole Executive course, 1000 NE 135th St, Seattle, WA 98125. It features 18 holes of disc golf, utilizing nine baskets and 18 tee pads.
Pilot Description
For the last decade, Jackson Park’s Executive course has been home to the bi-annual disc golf tournament, the Jackson Park Invitational, where disc golfers from across the northwest gather for a day of competitive disc golf. SPR and Premier Golf are now looking at expanding the disc golf course as a permanent fixture on the Executive course. The pilot will take place during the fall and winter months (golf off-season) to measure impact on golfers, pace and flow of play, revenue generation, and other factors. Should the off-season pilot be deemed a success, then a “peak season pilot” will run in spring 2026 before the disc golf course becomes a permanent fixture.
Disc golfers will pay full Executive course greens fees to support revenue generation for the Jackson Park golf complex. The Executive course is a first-come, first-served play, and a tee time is not needed. All course users will adhere to the flow of play timing while on the course.
The course layout was initially established in 2015 for the inaugural Jackson Park Invitational. The Jackson Park Disc Golf Course will be a modified layout of the course used during the tournament and offers 18 holes of disc golf utilizing nine baskets and 18 tee pads.
During the pilot period, Mineral Springs Disc Golf Association will host two disc golf clinics for those interested in learning the game with a focus on youth education. For those looking to compete on the course, the Jackson Park Invitational will take place on Saturday, October 25th.
