Thank you for your feedback and ongoing collaboration on the Lake City Mini Park!

We hosted a community feedback session on Tuesday, November 18, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at the Akin Building.

Our team is currently analyzing your input and will be submitting recommendations in December. Our recommendation will include ongoing challenges and potential solutions to safety concerns, accessibility barriers, and park misuse. We will look at how community is interested in activating the spaces through recreational and community activities and enhancing public safety. SPR is also analyzing potential permanent fencing and useful park infrastructure. We recognize this park has been impacted by activities incompatible with intended use. We are working to ensure that all parks are clean, safe and welcoming.

This community-centered initiative invites residents, businesses, and organizations in Lake City to come together to enhance the safety, vitality, and inclusivity of the neighborhood park. This activation strategy seeks to address ongoing challenges such as safety concerns, accessibility barriers, and park misuse by fostering open dialogue and transparent partnerships.
