Spring 2026

Seattle Parks and Recreation is beginning planning and design for a potential turf conversion of the baseball field at Rogers Playground, from a grass/dirt playfield to synthetic turf. The planning and design work is anticipated to assess associated improvements, including potential lighting, dugout, and backstop upgrades; and accessibility updates; to increase playing options for youth sports and support safe, accessible, and quality play for users on a year-round basis, including during inclement weather.

Project Description

At this time, funding has been made available solely for planning and design for potential turf conversion and associated improvements at the ballfield. Seattle Parks and Recreation is engaging the services of a design consultant to develop a schematic design and estimated project costs for these potential future ballfield improvements. Opportunities for initial public engagement will be announced Summer 2026.
