Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) is in the early design phase of replacing the synthetic turf at Walt Hundley Playfield. A design consultant has been selected to develop site plans and assist with progressing the project through construction.

Per Seattle Parks and Recreation’s asset lifecycle policy for synthetic turf replacement, this project will replace the synthetic turf at Walt Hundley Playfield and address athletic field access barriers.

Walt Hundley Playfield will be closed during construction. SPR will work with our design team and athletic scheduling team to limit the impact on field users.
