The new development at West Seattle Stadium will turn the current unpaved overflow parking lot into an OLA featuring a fenced area for unleashed dogs, seating, and a planted stormwater bioretention area.

In early 2024, Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) completed the Off-Leash Area (OLA) Expansion Study, which identified multiple suitable sites for future OLA development. Sites at West Seattle Stadium and Othello Playground were funded for development and are now underway.
