Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) will replace the south restroom with a prefabricated facility based on a site analysis and location feasibility study. This restroom renovation project requires a complete facility replacement to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.

Additionally, the project will address the footprint of the former south play area. SPR will work with the community to explore new uses for the area. Please watch this site for an upcoming community engagement event.

The project will also address the footprint of the former south play area. The previous structure and equipment from the south play area were relocated to the new play area on the reservoir lid in 2013, but the old containment zone remains and was never fully restored or removed. This project will restore the previous play area footprint and SPR will work with the community to explore new uses for the area.

The south restroom and south play area will be closed during construction. The contractor
hired will work to minimize impact on the park and neighborhood.
